Mark Zuckerberg is a true entrepreneur. He is a brilliant Net Gener who has created a social network that not only appeals to today’s generation but the baby boomer generation. He created Facebook so people could share information more effectively through real connections and with ease. Facebook has had a dramatic impact on the World Wide Web. He did this by creating applications such as photos, groups, and events. At the time of Mark Zuckerberg’s speech in San Francisco to over 800 developers there were twenty-four million active users. The fastest growing age group was twenty-five years of age and older. There were also 100,000 new users everyday. During his speech he also stated that fifty percent of Facebook users return to Facebook daily. I think this is amazing.
Mark Zuckerberg explains that Facebook works because of the social graph. The Facebook platform includes deep integration, mass distribution, and new business opportunities. Facebook is a social network that works and builds around its members. Facebook collaborates with other companies such as Microsoft and Amazon.
I think it is amazing what Mark Zuckerberg has done at a young age. He is a brilliant Net Gener who will create many more opportunities for his social network, Facebook, on the World Wide Web.
